Apply for a Consular Card
Registration of Cameroonian Nationals in Canada
Cameroonians residing in Canada are encouraged to register with the High Commission in order to obtain a consular card and facilitate access to consular assistance and protection when needed.
Important Information Before Starting
Cameroonians residing abroad should register their names and addresses with the nearest Cameroonian diplomatic or consular mission as soon as possible.
Once registered, applicants are issued a consular card.
Failure to register may delay or make difficult the consular assistance or protection to which Cameroonians abroad are entitled in emergency situations.
Any change of address or permanent departure from the country of residence should be reported to the mission or consulate.
Visitors are not entitled to a consular card.
Since 28 November 2025, applications for and renewals of the Consular Card are submitted exclusively online through the official consular services portal.
Collection of the Consular Card
- The Consular Card may be collected immediately after physical enrolment.
- The card is valid for five years from the date of issue.
- Applicants should keep their supporting and approval documents available until collection is completed.
If Your Application Is Incomplete
- If your online application is incomplete, it may be returned once or twice for modification or completion.
- Applicants notified by email should return to the consular services platform.
- Applicants should click on 'Modify my application', correct the issues according to the return notification, and resubmit the file.
If Your Application Is Rejected
- Rejection may occur where the applicant does not meet the requirements, for example if the user is a foreign national.
- Rejection may also occur where the file has been returned several times and still remains incomplete or incorrect.
- In such cases, the applicant must restart the entire procedure and pay the corresponding fees online again.
