General Guidelines Before Submitting Your Marriage Celebration Request
All required documents should be complete, valid, and clearly legible before submission.
Some original documents and photocopies may need to be stamped at the High Commission, subject to the applicable fee.
Where one of the future spouses is not Cameroonian, certain documents may need to be authenticated or legalized by the competent authorities of that country.
After receiving the application, the High Commission may contact the future spouses to collect or confirm additional information necessary for the continuation of the procedure.

- Once the application for the celebration of marriage is received, the High Commission may contact the future spouses to collect or confirm certain useful information for the rest of the procedure.
- The proposed date of marriage celebration may be subject to change due to holidays in Cameroon or Canada, scheduling constraints of the Diplomatic Mission, or any other unforeseen circumstance.
Presence and Payment Information
- On the day of the marriage celebration, the future couple and their respective witnesses must be physically present.
- The physical presence of the heads of family is only required if they are present in Canada.
