GENERAL INFORMATION

Applications for the issuance or renewal of Cameroonian biometric passports are completed in three main steps.

Online pre-registration must be done only on the website of the General Delegation for National Security (DGSN), through www.dgsn.cm or www.passcam.cm

It is only during the online pre-registration stage that you must book an appointment for physical enrolment.

Physical enrolment is done at the High Commission on the day of your appointment.

You must bring the information sheet generated at the end of your pre-enrolment procedure together with the official documents required for your file.

The original and photocopy of your consular card are part of the passport renewal application.

If you do not have a consular card, you must apply for one and include the pre-approve form or proof of payment form in your documents

Although physical enrolment takes place in Ottawa, passports are produced in Cameroon by the GDNS.

Once the file is validated by the DGSN, the new system allows passport production within 48 hours.

After production, the passport is sent back to the High Commission and forwarded to your postal address using the return envelope provided on the day of your appointment.

The high Commission does not photocopy documents for users, make sure you have the originals and clean photocopies of your documents before presenting yourself at the High Commission.

Appointments and General Queue

  • Appointments are no longer made on the website of the High Commission of Cameroon in Canada.
  • Appointments are made on the GDNS website during pre-registration.
  • An appointment can only be changed once, and only up to exactly 24 hours before the scheduled date and time.
  • Applicants selecting the general queue option on the Passcam platform do not receive a fixed appointment immediately.
  • If you choose the general queue option, you must send an email to consular-service@hc-cameroon.ca so that the High Commission can assign you a date and time.
  • A date assigned under the general queue arrangement cannot be changed because appointments depend on the diplomatic mission’s availability.

Fees and Payment Information

  • Stamp fees for the new passport are paid only on the GDNS website at the time of pre-registration.
  • The only fees paid at the High Commission are legalization fees for photocopies of official documents.
  • Payment at the High Commission is made exclusively in cash, money order, or certified check payable to the High Commission of Cameroon in Ottawa.

  • If your application for issuance or renewal is rejected, write to rejet@passcam.cm
  • If you have a problem with pre-enrolment, change of location, date of physical enrolment, appointment, or payment of passport fees, write to contact@passcam.cm
