Procedure for Applying for a Mortuary Pass
Applications for a Mortuary Pass are submitted through the official consular services portal.
Important Information Before Starting
Since 28 November 2025, the procedure for applying for a Mortuary Pass is exclusively online through the official consular services portal.
Applicants must follow the procedure strictly according to the required online steps
All mandatory documents must be properly scanned and uploaded during the online pre-registration stage.
Document collection requires presentation of the online pre-registration form bearing a QR code, together with a pre-addressed return envelope.
Issuance and Collection of the Mortuary Pass
- Once the online procedure has been completed and the application is approved, the Mortuary Pass is produced and sent to the funeral home using the return envelope provided for that purpose.
- The return envelope must be prepaid, traceable, and clearly marked with the recipient’s full address.
If the Mortuary Pass Is Lost
- If the Mortuary Pass is lost, replacement follows the same application procedure as the original request.
- Instead of the passport, a certificate of loss must be submitted.
